Bright SCIdea Challenge

Non-Executive Director Dr David Prest recently attended the final of Bright SCIdea Challenge, a competition for teams of students to pitch a business idea to a panel of industrialists, organised by the Society of Chemical Industry.  Drochaid Research Services is a corporate supporter, providing training to the students for the event;  David spoke about market development and risk management. The standard of presentations and posters was excellent, and the eventual winners of the £5000 prize were Plastech Innovation from Durham University who are looking to start a business with their sustainably sourced plastic-based concrete.  Further details are available on the SCI website at
